There's also investment for rural broadband in various Niagara communities
The Wainfleet library will benefit this year from a provincial investment of up to $582,000 for internet services, through the Internet Connectivity Grant program.
The government is also working at rural broadband projects in Camelot Beach, Long Beach, Morgan's Point, Ostryhon Corners, Wainfleet Village and Winger.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says the government is ensuring residents in Wainfleet have similar access as do larger communities.
Wainfleet Mayor Brian Grant says ensuring high-speed internet access at the library is not just a technological upgrade, but crucial investment.
Since 2018, the Internet Connectivity Grant program has supported Ontario's public libraries with more than $3-million to make sure they have reliable internet service.
