Town of Pelham to receive over $210,000 for community transit
The Town of Pelham will benefit from an investment the Ontario government is making to help improve transportation services.
Over the next two years, Pelham will get over $210,000 from the province for public transit initiatives.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says the investment will go a long way towards helping residents struggling during the pandemic.
"As Ontario recovers from COVID-19, reliable transportation is vital for accessing employment and social programs, attending appointments, visiting friends and family, and maintaining an independent and active lifestyle. The extension of the provincial funding is great news for residents of the Town of Pelham who rely on public transit."
The province is investing $14 million into transportation services in 38 different communities.
