Ontario's Sports Minister confirming the province will not give approval for the OHL to begin the 2021 season right now.
Lisa MacLeod says they were days away from agreeing to the league's return to play plan, when the third wave struck.
The OHL issued a statement yesterday saying return to play was given conditional approval but the recent increase in COVID-19 cases have put increased pressure on their plans.
Officials say they will provide an update in the coming days.
