The province is setting aside $500,000 in order to hire more personal support workers in Niagara.
The money will help put 92 people through a new training program at the DSBN Lifetime Learning Centre in St. Catharines.
It's a 40-week program complete with online and in-person sessions.
Minister of Labour Monte McNaughton was in the Garden City yesterday for the big announcement.
"These health care professionals are on the frontlines in our fight against COVID-19, caring for our parents, our grandparents and our most vulnerable patients. This investment will help job seekers and personal support workers receive the skills and training at a time when they are needed most."
