Eight projects to get over $66,000
Farmers in Niagara are getting some help from the provincial and federal governments.
Eight local farm projects are getting over $66,000.
The money will be used on projects that improve food safety and create new products.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says this is good news for local farmers.
"This is a critical investment for a number of farm families across our region. Raised on a local farm, I understand the long hours and hard work it takes to produce safe and high-quality food."
The funding is part of a $7.3 million investment through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership in support of farmers and agri-food businesses throughout Ontario.
