President and First Lady meet with families of those killed in supermarket attack.

U.S. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were in Buffalo today to pay their respects to the 10 people shot to death at a supermarket on Saturday.

The couple attended a makeshift memorial to the victims outside the Tops Market on Jefferson Avenue where the shooting occurred.

The pair also met privately with families of the victims, as well as local officials and first responders, before the President delivered a speech at the Delavan Grider Community Center.

Biden referred to the incident as "an act of terror", and called white supremacy and racism a "poison."

Authorities say 11 of the 13 people shot were black.

In addition to the ten who died, three more were injured.

The alleged gunman was taken into custody and is under suicide watch.
