We'll soon have more details on Premier Doug Ford's plans to re-open the province.
Ford is slated to make an announcement today at 3:00 p.m., and he'll be joined by Health Minister Christine Elliott and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams.
This comes after Solicitor General Sylvia Jones told reporters yesterday that the province is moving to a sector by sector re-opening strategy that would allow businesses to gradually re-open based on risk.
The provincial stay at home order is set to expire on June 2nd at the earliest, but Health Minister Christine Elliott hinted earlier this week that outdoor amenities may open before then.
An exact date for re-opening the economy is not yet known, but sources tell CTV News the province is considering June or early July.
Meanwhile, the province's Science Advisory Table is also going to release the latest COVID-19 modelling this afternoon.
