Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre has added this to its website, making it easier for teachers
The Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre is encouraging schools to use its new portal on its website, to register for presentations designed to keep children safe.
Development Director Kim Rossi says they just started it.
She adds teachers can choose the presentation of choice and time. "While I'd be remiss to not mention the volume of stories we've had in the news as of late with child abuse and internet luring, these presentations have been around for some time, and they are vital in educating children, and allowing them to learn what is appropriate and what is not."
She says the Kids First Project helps kids to realize they can speak to teachers.
She says it'll be better than cumbersome emails. "We hope that this will encourage teachers to take the time and review the subject matter, and book a presentation, so that we can send more staff out to make more presentations to kids this year, right across the region... ultimately it's all about safety and education."
You can find this in the Kids First Project portal on the website.
