Second season city will waive patio permit fees
Mayor Bill Steele says "We know the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on local establishments and we’re committed to working with them to offer alternative solutions, including allowing patios to open earlier."
For the second season, temporary patios will be allowed on private properties that comply with zoning guidelines, patio permit fees will be waived, new outdoor patios that will be set up on streets or sidewalks or any city property will be subject to online application process.
The city also reminding restaurant and bar owners if a patio is covered by a roof, canopy, tent, awning or at least two full sides of the entire outdoor dining area, it must be open to the outdoors with no restrictions.
