Port Colborne residents who park at Sugarloaf Marina and the public boat ramp can now checkout using their phone.
The City has partnered with HONK, a North American provider of contactless parking payments.
Drivers can pay by simply tapping their phone on an onsite HonkTAP smart station, or by downloading the free HonkAPP from Google Play or the App Store.
Sugarloaf Maine Supervisor Mark Minor says this is a great option for drivers visiting the marina.
"The City of Port Colborne is thrilled to partner with HONK to offer our boaters a fast and simple way to pay for parking. Just in time for summer, this pilot project will create a safe and accessible parking experience for drivers parking their vehicles and boat trailers at the City of Port Colborne’s public boat ramp."
