Officers say a telephone threat was received at Garrison Road Public School
Police are investigating after a telephone threat was made to an elementary school in Fort Erie.
Around 3:00 p.m., officers were called to Garrison Road Public School.
A shelter in place was issued to keep kids safe.
Upon arrival, police also requested safety measures at Stevensville Public School and Peace Bridge Public School, which were lifted a short time later.
Kids at Garrison Road Public School were allowed to leave around 4:30 p.m.
Police continue to investigate and anyone with information is asked to call Niagara Regional Police at 905-688-4111.
