A man and a woman are facing several charges following an incident in Welland.
Two people from Welland have been arrested following a collision.
Just before 5:00 p.m. yesterday, police were called to a 7-11 convenience store near Crowland Avenue and East Main Street.
Detectives found a man and a woman slipping in and out of consciousness inside a parked Hyundai on the store's parking lot.
When investigators approached the car, the driver, put the vehicle in gear, narrowly missing the officers.
The Hyundai fled the parking lot at a high rate of speed, turning east bound on East Main Street.
The car lost control at the intersection of East Main Street and Wellington Street, and hit a pickup truck that was stopped at a red light.
The truck driver wasn't injured.
The Hyundai then headed over the boulevard near Niagara Battery and Tire, and hit an unoccupied Ford Escape in the parking lot before colliding with the wall of the building.
Both the driver and passenger took off on foot, but police located and arrested them both.
Facing charges are 32 year old Stephan Jones and 30 year old Breanne O'Neal.
Both are facing drug possession charges, and Jones was also arrested for several dangerous driving offences.
