The NRP have laid charges against two men following an incident involving a handgun.
Around 6:20 last night, officers attended the area of Wellington Street and Tanguay Avenue in Welland, and met with a female victim.
Police determined that domestic violence had been threatened.
The woman was uninjured.
Prior to police arrival, two male suspects fled the scene.
Their vehicle was located around 8:00 p.m. in a parking lot located near Main Street W and Livingston Avenue in Grimsby.
Uniform officers, along with the K9 unit and members of the Emergency Task Unit scoured the area, locating the suspects in a nearby store.
The handgun has not yet been located.
A 27 year old from Scarborough and a 25 year old from Welland are facing numerous charges.
The identity of the pair is not being released at this time, in order to protect the victim's identity.
