Police found some fentanyl and cocaine
More fentanyl and crack cocaine has been taken off the streets of Niagara, and two people are charged.
Police began a trafficking investigation this month, which led them to search a Thorold home on Tuesday.
They say they found about $15,000 worth of fentanyl, $19,000 worth of cocaine, a gun, and over $29,000.
39-year old Robert Scott of no fixed address is facing eight charges:
- Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5000, contrary to Section 355(a) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of Unauthorized Firearm, contrary to Section 92(1) of the Criminal Code
- Careless Storage of a Firearm, contrary to Section 86(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a loaded Regulated Firearm, contrary to Section 95(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a Firearm without Holding a License, contrary to Section 91(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order, contrary to Section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code
Police add 30-year old Holly Selseotes of Niagara Falls is charged with eight offences:
- Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5000, contrary to Section 355(a) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of Unauthorized Firearm, contrary to Section 92(1) of the Criminal Code
- Careless Storage of a Firearm, contrary to Section 86(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a loaded Regulated Firearm, contrary to Section 95(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a Firearm without Holding a License, contrary to Section 91(1) of the Criminal Code
- Operation while Prohibited, contrary to Section 320.18 of the Criminal Code
Police say both had a bail hearing yesterday.
