You will want to avoid the Thorold Tunnel over the next couple of days.
The tunnel will be closed tonight and tomorrow night starting at 8:00 p.m. and it won't reopen until 5:30 a.m. the next morning.
Crews are going to prep the construction site for winter shutdown and detours will be in place to divert overnight traffic.
Both tubes of the tunnel should be fully operational this winter.
