Original Story:
We have confirmation from the NRP that provincial police were involved in a shooting late this morning in Niagara Falls.
They say it happened in the Stanley Avenue and Peer Street area, which involved the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement unit.
Niagara police say given the multiple police agencies involved, including Ontario's Special Investigation's unit, that is all we're being told so far.
They can say no NRP officer was involved directly, however they did assist.
They add there is no on-going concerns for public safety.
