One person killed, two injured
Burlington OPP are investigating a deadly collision that occurred in Welland last night.
Around 8:30 p.m., a motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck on Highway 58 near Kleiner Street.
Police say the pickup truck was heading northbound, when it went into the southbound lane, hitting the motorcycle.
Both vehicles went into a ditch.
The motorcycle driver, a 51 year old man from Welland, was killed.
The 73 year old driver of the pickup truck and his passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and witnesses are asked to get in touch with Burlington OPP.
