A draft report by Ontario’s Ombudsman will be ready in about two weeks.
It will take a look at the hiring of former Niagara Region CAO Carmen D’Angelo back in 2016. The investigation started back in August 2018.
According to the watchdog’s office, Regional Council will look it over in a closed meeting on November 14.
The Ombudsman Act states that anyone impacted by an Ombudsman’s report must have the opportunity to respond before the report is finalized and made public.
