Colleges and universities on track to re-open without social distancing or capacity requirements
Ontario's post-secondary institutions are being asked to prepare for a normal fall semester.
A memo sent to schools from Deputy Minister of Colleges and Universities Shelley Tapp says since indicators such as vaccination rates are improving, things may look a little more like normal during the upcoming fall semester.
Tapp notes campuses may not require physical distancing, but masks and other measures will be required indoors.
She also says the ministry is encouraging vaccination clinics and rapid testing programs onsite.
Schools are also being asked to create and share a back-up plan in case of a COVID-19 outbreak.
New public health guidelines with recommended safety measures for colleges and universities is expected to be released early next month.
