Tax forms to include tick boxes to allow people to indicate if they want more information on organ donation.
Ontarians will have the option to seek information about organ and tissue donation when they file their 2022 taxes.
The federal government says Ontario and Nunavut have agreed to participate in the service, which is being offered by Canada Revenue Agency.
The agency says people in those areas will be able to check off a box on their tax forms, indicating they want to know more.
The taxpayer's contact information will then be shared with the province or territory for the purpose of getting information about organ and tissue donation.
Currently, less than a quarter of Canadians are registered as organ and tissue donors.
