Despite the federal government's plea for Canadians to stay home, an Ontario chopper company that's been ferrying travelers to Buffalo International Airport, reports its flights are booked solid.
The Spec reporting the Cambridge based Great Lake Helicopters is still doing a brisk business even though Canada's major airlines have suspended service to sunny destinations throughout the Caribbean until the end of April.
The company made headlines last fall, when Canadians desperate to head south despite the border closure, began paying around $1200 each to take a ride on a Great Lake choppers into Buffalo.
Stats Can figures for November show monthly Hamilton helicopter arrivals soared to nearly 200.
The choppers have been landing at John C. Munroe Airport to clear customs before heading to Buffalo.
