About 600 people have signed an online petition, to honour a legendary hero in Niagara Falls.
William "Red" Hill Sr. saved two crew members aboard the iron scow in the Niagara River over a hundred years ago.
His great-grandson, Kip Finn, started the petition about a week ago in hopes of convincing Niagara Falls City Council to erect a statue in his memory.
The iconic scow recently shifted closer to the brink of Niagara Falls during the Halloween storm.
