Federal party leaders fan out across the country

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is promising to spend half a billion dollars to train and equip firefighters ahead of next year's forest fire season.

Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole is urging Trudeau to send more soldiers to B.C. to help fight hundreds of raging fires.

O'Toole taking the Liberal leader to task for triggering an election during the emergency.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is accusing Trudeau of breaking a commitment not to hold an election during the pandemic.
