The Ontario Hospital Association says the province has entered a third wave of COVID-19.
The OHA says variants are rapidly increasing and the number of patients in intensive care is also trending upwards.
The associations says "we are now in wave three and strong adherence to public health measures is urgently needed to prevent overwhelming hospitals."
Ontario's top doctor, David Williams telling reporters yesterday the province is "into the base of a third wave" but how big it will be has yet to be determined.
Williams admitting Ontario is in a race against time trying to keep variants under control while administering vaccines.
