The province is supposedly bringing back many of the restrictions that were in place during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Toronto Star reports that one of the key changes will be that workers deemed non-essential at their places of employment will be required to work from home.
The Star also reports that there will be further limits to outdoor gatherings.
An official announcement from Premier Doug Ford will be made later this afternoon.
Other measures expected to be announced include shorter hours for retailers that sell more than essential pharmacy and grocery items, and a return to a state of emergency.
Stand-alone grocery and drug stores are not expected to have a restriction on hours imposed on them, but sources say that big-box stores will likely be required to closed from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m.
The province reported 2903 new cases of COVID-19 today.
