Niagara Region Transit is about to launch a new on-demand service in West Niagara.
NRT OnDemand will provide transit service for people in Grimsby, Pelham, Wainfleet, Lincoln and West Lincoln starting this Monday.
They will be able to book a shared ride over the phone by calling 289-302-2172 or through the NRT OnDemand smartphone app.
Once your ride is booked you will be paired with other passengers heading in the same direction.
There will be 10 high-capacity vehicles available for this service and all riders will have to wear a face mask.
People in Grimsby, Pelham and Lincoln will be able to book a local trip within their municipality or to a neighbouring municipality.
Local trips will cost $3 and inter-municipal trips will cost $6.
Riders in West Lincoln and Wainfleet will only has access to inter-municipal trips.
The service will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
