The NRP's K9 Unit will welcome two new members today.
Atlas and Ranger will officially graduate their training program this morning with their handlers; Constable Dan Campbell and Constable Robert Viger.
They know how to track down human scent, engage a violent suspect and protect their handlers if need be while out in the field.
Their graduation ceremony will be closed to the public but it will be live streamed starting at 10:00 a.m.
The Niagara Regional Police K9 Unit currently consists of seven dogs. Five of them can track down narcotics and the other two can detect explosives.
