Police going after drivers who chose to speed excessively in rural areas of Niagara.
Once they reviewed collision data, and based on community complaints, police set up patrols and enforcement in high-risk areas from last Thursday to Sunday.
Police say it was also designed to educate and raise awareness among drivers of the dangers of speeding on rural roads.
Four drivers received summons to court, 47 provincial offence notices were given, also two suspensions, and 23 drivers were warned.
Police also charged two drivers with stunt driving, resulting in a 30-day licence suspension, and 14-day vehicle impoundment.
