Superintendent Mario Lagrotteria has an extensive educational background
The NRP has a new deputy chief.
The police services board says Superintendent Mario Lagrotteria took over the role as of Friday.
He began his career in 2001 as a Peel Regional police constable, and was hired in Niagara in 2006, and promoted to Sergeant in 2013.
In 2023, he became Superintendent, and was recently serving as Acting Deputy Chief of Community Services, leading 580 service members.
Among Deputy Chief Lagrotteria's many educational achievements, he has an Honours of Bachelor of Science with a Double Major in Forensic Science and Biology, and Minor in Anthropology.
