
NRP were looking for Davy Rocchetti, in relation to the death of Larry Pearce at Charles Daley Park
Update: Wednesday, July 30th
Police say they have arrested Davy Rocchetti, wanted for 2nd degree murder in the death of Larry Pearce.
The NRP, working alongside Peel and Toronto police, found him last night around 7:30, although they didn't tell us where he was found.
He's been returned to the Niagara Region, and remains in custody waiting for a bail hearing today.
The NRPS is thanking the Toronto and Peel police services for their critical help and collaboration in making this arrest.
Update: Saturday, July 26th
The burnt-out Honda CRV belonging to Larry Pearce has been found.
The NRPS says it was found in Mississauga in a greenspace off Springbank Road, it had been intentionally set on fire.
One person was seen walking away from the area.
The last person known to be driving it was 50-year-old Davy Rochetti, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder and other outstanding warrants.
Update: Wednesday, July 23rd
We have confirmation from police the man they're looking for in relation to the death of Larry Pearce at Charles Daley park is wanted for 2nd degree murder.
Police say they're working on a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of 50-year old Davy Rocchetti.
Police believe as recently as yesterday, at around 10am, Rocchetti was driving the victim's stolen 2012 grey Honda CRV, in the 1900 block of Dundas Street West in Mississauga.
Police also confirm he has his dog, a pitbull style breed, with white fur and black and brown markings, that include a dark spot over the dog's left eye.
Police also say the CRV no longer has a front licence plate, and the rear plate of "Ontario 24F S30" may have been changed.
Furthermore, there is duct tape on the driver's side front bumper, and duct tape covering the entire rear window.
Update: Monday morning, July 21st
Police are looking for a 50-year-old man of no fixed address who may have been a witness to the death of 82-year old Larry Pearce.
Police say Davy Rochetti has outstanding warrants for offences including mischief and police advise him to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.
If you see him do not approach him and call 9-1-1.
In addition, police continue to appeal to anyone who who might have seen Larry Pearce's vehicle, a 2012 Honda CRV, with Ontario licence plate of 24F S30, that was last seen getting onto the Niagara-bound QEW at Seventh Street.
Update: Friday afternoon
We have a sad update from police, in that the man who was hit has died at hospital.
Police have since learned that 82-year old Larry Pearce of St. Catharines arrived at the park at 9 yesterday morning, by himself, in his 2012 Silver Honda CRV.
He was preparing to leave at around 9:40, when he stopped to talk to some unknown suspect or suspects.
During this encounter, police say he got out of the vehicle, at which point the suspect or suspects got in and took control.
He tried to stop them by standing in front of the vehicle, but fell to the ground, and the vehicle was driven away, last seen getting onto the Niagara bound QEW at Seventh Street.

Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run with a pedestrian at Charles Daley park in Lincoln.
Police arrived on scene yesterday morning before 10, to learn after the vehicle hit the pedestrian, it left the area, last seen driving east on North Service Road.
Police say the pedestrian is in an out of region hospital in critical condition.
That person's vehicle, a 2012 Silver Honda CRV, with Ontario licence plate of 24F S30, has not been found.
Police are asking for anyone with video footage recorded between 9:35 and 9:45 to call them.
