Police say the person crossing the street in St. Catharines yesterday was seriously hurt
NRPS is investigating a hit and run in St. Catharines.
Police say a pedestrian was hit while crossing the intersection of Carlton Street and Grantham Avenue at 8:00 yesterday morning.
The driver took off.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model Buick SUV, possibly dark purple or brown. The suspect driver is described as a white male, approximately 65 years old, wearing glasses and a baseball cap.
The pedestrian was seriously hurt and was taken to an out-of-region hospital.
