71 year old killed in two vehicle crash
Niagara Regional Police are investigating a traffic fatality in Pelham.
It happened yesterday around 5pm in the area of Merrittville Highway and Regional Road 20.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle travelling southbound on Merrittville highway lost control and veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a black SUV.
The 71 year old driver of one vehicle was killed, a 67 year old passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries but was transferred to an out of region hospital.
The 21 year old driver of the SUV and a passenger both sustained minor injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.
