Police say it happened at Welland Avenue and Vine Street, driver cooperating
A man in his 30s is dead after he was hit by a van in St. Catharines.
Police were called at around 7 last night to the Welland Avenue and Vine Street south intersection.
They learned the pedestrian was on the road when he was hit by the eastbound Toyota van. The 71-year old man driving the van, from St. Catharines, stayed at the scene, cooperating with police.
The intersection was closed for a time, but has since been reopened.
