Niagara Regional Police are reminding motorists to lock up their vehicles as part of the Lock it Or Lose it initiative.
Police say professional thieves can steal your car in just under 30 seconds, and vehicles with an open window or unlocked doors are easy targets.
You're also advised to park in a well-lit area and never leave valuable in plain view.
