The NRP Service Explosive Unit and Emergency Task Unit will be conducting training in Thorold this week.
The training will occur on Thursday and Friday between 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m in the area of Thorold Townline Road and Highway 20.
Residents may notice an increased police presence, as well as the sound of explosions, the smell of smoke and the sound of simulated gun shots.
Signage will be put up in the area, and the public is asked to stay away from the training sites for their safety as well as the safety of the officers onsite.
