NordStar Capital has officially taken over Torstar in a deal worth $60-million.
This means the company now owns the St. Catharines Standard, the Niagara Falls Review and the Welland Tribune.
This will also affect the Toronto Star, the Hamilton Spectator, the Waterloo Region Record and the Peterbourough Examiner.
The acquisition was completed yesterday.
NordStar is a Canadian company that is owned by Jordan Bitove and Paul Rivett.
