UPDATE: The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association will hold a province-wide walkout, if a deal is not reached with the province soon.
The union is planning another one-day strike for Tuesday February 4th.
This would affect the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
The OECTA also held a province-wide walkout on Tuesday January 21st.
Niagara Catholic is setting the record straight about upcoming school closures.
The board issued a statement after Global News reported that Niagara Catholic would be impacted by the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario's two strike days next week.
Teachers at Catholic schools in Niagara are under a different union, the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association.
As of now, that union has not notified the province, or the school boards of any further upcoming job action.
Next week's job action on Thursday and Friday will affect public elementary schools in the DSBN.
