You can watch the sunset but you’ll have to go home at dusk.
The City of St. Catharines has decided to close all of its beaches at night.
Sunset Beach and the beach at Lakeside Park will be off-limits from dusk until 8:00 a.m. the next day.
The parking lots will be closed and you can expect increased parking enforcement in the area.
This comes after an incident at Sunset Beach Sunday night.
The NRP responded to several assaults and two people have been charged.
