A 56-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving, after a vehicle flipped upside down in the Niagara River.
Witnesses spotted the vehicle heading south on the Niagara River Parkway, close to Service Road 21 at around 10:00 p.m. last night.
Police say that's when it left the roadway and flipped into the water.
The witnesses were able to help the driver out of the partially submerged vehicle. Thankfully no one was hurt.
The damage to the car is estimated at about $8,000.
