Statistics Canada says we're now on par with the national average, which also happens to be 5.5 percent. Ontario's rate held steady at 5.3 percent in October.
The Canadian economy also lost 1,800 jobs last month, mostly in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
We lost 16,100 full time jobs, but we gained 14,300 part time jobs.
