The unemployment rate dropped across Canada and Ontario but it rose slightly in Niagara.
Niagara's rate went up to 12.9 percent last month while the national rate dropped to 12.3 percent and Ontario's rate fell to 12.2 percent.
Niagara's rate was sitting at 12.6 percent in May which was lower than the national rate of 13.7 percent and Ontario's rate of 13.6 percent.
Statistics Canada says the Canadian economy added 953,000 jobs in June.
It says 488,000 of those jobs were full time positions and the remaining 465,000 were part-time.
