Weather expected to impact commutes tomorrow afternoon and Thursday morning
A winter storm watch is in effect for parts of southern Ontario, including Niagara.
Environment Canada says there could be an ice storm late tomorrow into Thursday.
This is due to a Colorado low making its way through parts of southwestern Ontario.
The weather office says there will be snow or ice pellets tomorrow, which will change to freezing rain tomorrow night.
There is still some uncertainty about the exact location and timing of the freezing rain, as well as how much ice will build up.
A freezing rain warning could be issued as the weather draws nearer.
Surfaces like roads, highways, parking lots and sidewalks may become slippery, and utility outages could occur.
Drivers are encouraged to have an emergency kit with water, food, medicine and a first aid kit in their car.
