We had 40 new cases of COVID-19 in Niagara over the long weekend.
Public Health reported 16 new cases on Saturday, eight new cases on Sunday and another 16 new cases on the holiday Monday.
Most of our active cases are in Thorold followed by Niagara Falls and St. Catharines.
Wainfleet is the only Niagara municipality without any active cases at this time.
We currently have eight active outbreaks in effect and our death toll remains at 65.
Two people are currently being treated for the virus in our local Niagara Health hospitals.
