Niagara saw a spike in COVID-19 cases over the weekend.
Public Health reported 136 new cases including 71 yesterday and 65 on Saturday.
We now have 337 active cases across the Region with most of them in Niagara Falls and none of them in Wainfleet.
We also have 18 active outbreaks in effect and eight of them are in healthcare facilities.
Thirty-one people are currently being treated for the virus in our local Niagara Health hospitals, but our death toll remains at 87.
A total of 2,575 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March.
