Niagara has officially joined the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities.
Regional Chair Jim Bradley signed a declaration alongside Niagara's 12 mayors outside Regional Headquarters yesterday.
The coalition consists of 82 municipalities across Canada and they're all committed to promoting human rights, diversity and social inclusion.
They're also establishing policies in order to eradicate racism and other forms of discrimination.
