Regional officials met with provincial politicians to discuss Niagara issues
Niagara Week has come to an end at Queen's Park in Toronto.
That from regional chair Jim Bradley, who spent part of the week with other councillors and mayors, meeting the provincial government to keep advocating for the region.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says the highlight was the new battery component plant in Port Colborne, but also working to show the Ontario government the province does not end at the Burlington Skyway.
The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce was also at meetings, which included talks about building a new wastewater treatment plant in Niagara Falls.
The region is expected to grow to a population of 694,000 people, and 272,000 jobs by the year 2051.
