Emergency rooms in Niagara hope to see an ease of workload thanks to more provincial funding.
The Ontario government is increasing investment in ambulances in Niagara by 8% , bringing the current amount of funding to over $30.3-million a year.
There's also more money coming to hire more nurses... over $1.8-million.
The government says that brings the yearly investment for Niagara to over $32-million for ambulance and emergency room care.
It also says its helping more students become paramedics by adding over 300 spaces in paramedic programs at Ontario colleges.
