Niagara-on-the-Lake woman confronted by coyote while walking her dog.
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is holding a virtual information session in response to ongoing concerns about coyotes in the area.
In one such incident, a woman was confronted by a coyote while walking her dog this weekend.
As reported by the Standard, the animal lunged at a dog walking with its owner in the Old Town neighbourhood.
A man driving by jumped out of his truck to help the woman, and managed to scare the coyote away.
The Town says experts from Coyote Watch Canada, the Lincoln County Humane Society, Niagara Regional Police Services and the Ministry of Natural Resources will be on hand for tomorrow's session.
The Town says anyone in an emergency situation with a coyote, such as a coyote cornering humans, should call 9-1-1 right away.
The session will be live streamed here tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m.
