 
                            Canadians are known for their friendliness, and that seems to especially be the case in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Expedia users have ranked Niagara-on-the-Lake as the third-friendliest town in the entire country.
Between January 2019 to December 2020, the Town received the third highest percentage of positive traveler reviews, with many people describing the area as "friendly", "friendliest" and "amiable."
CAO Marnie Cluckie says she's happy to hear how much tourists enjoyed their visits.
"While often known and acknowledged for its distinct beauty and heritage, I am pleased to see Niagara-on-the-Lake recognized for being a friendly Town as well. Kindness and friendliness are imperative to great experiences, and I am pleased to know that those who visited Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2019 and 2020 experienced the Town through the lens of a friendly, welcoming community."
Digby, Nova Scotia came in second place, and first place was awarded to Radium Hot Springs in British Columbia.
In keeping with COVID-19 safety protocols. Town Staff will be returning to the Heritage District on weekends during the spring and summer months to assist with crowd control and remind people to wear masks and socially distance.
