Police arrested him after posing as "child" on internet
A West Lincoln man has been charged with child luring.
Last month the NRP's Child Sexual Exploitation unit starting looking into a certain case, finding a suspect is alleged to have communicated for a sexual purpose over the internet with someone he thought was under 16 years old.
What the man didn't know is the "child" was actually an undercover police officer.
Yesterday, they arrested 39-year old Johnathan Jeffrey Ahlstedt, charging him with:
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Sexual Interference x 2
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Sexual Assault x 2
He is in custody, waiting for a bail hearing today.
